Effective July 2, 2025, the Technical Review Committee (TRC) will move from monthly to weekly meetings. This significant update is designed to expedite the review process, reduce wait times for developers, and allow for ongoing discussion and collaboration among review agencies.

From June 2 through July 18, residents can drop off donations for the citywide school supply drive, to help students start the 2025โ€“2026 school year with confidence, at convenient locations across the city. This effort supports the End of Summer Bash, taking place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Harris Park.

This is the Cityโ€™s first coordinated drive of this kind and aims to provide fully stocked backpacks for local children in need, helping ease the financial burden on families and ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.

It looks like the anticipated spring home buying season is underperforming. Despite a 30.6% year-over-year increase in housing inventory, buyer demand remains subdued due to high mortgage rates, averaging around 6.75%, and persistent affordability concerns. March home sales reached a 16-year low, with prices declining year-over-year in 19 of the top 100 metro areas, particularly in the Southeast and Southwest regions.

According to the Realtor.com April housing data, the housing market offered buyers more options as inventory continued to climb for the 17th straight month and new listings increased across most regions.
