I moved to Augusta County from Cherew, SC at the age of 10 when my father relocated to the area with Smith’s Transfer, a former trucking company based out of Verona. Since I have lived here in the Valley for almost 40 years, it has become home. The Shenandoah Valley is beautiful. Moving to the mountains was quite different from living in South Carolina, though, especially with regards to the weath
er. To this day, I still love a little or a lot of snow! As a child, the Valley was a great place to grow up, and it was a great place to raise my daughter too. The Shenandoah Valley has so much to offer to someone of any age, whether you’re looking for recreational, educational, or vacation opportunities, we’ve got it all. Plus, the history here is astounding. My goal as a Realtor is to assist in making the process of buying and/or selling a home as easy and painless as it can be, offering the best service and guidance I can give. What I have realized over the past several years, is how rewarding selling real estate is. It allows me the opportunity to sell real estate with my mom, to turn clients into friends, and houses into homes. Several factors contributed to me becoming a Realtor. First and foremost, my mother, Minnie Stevenson, has been a Realtor for over 30 years, and since my childhood, I have been fascinated and intrigued with her career path. Now that I’m a Realtor, I understand why she chose this career. After all, home is where your story begins, and I love that through working with buyer and seller clients, I can help them write their story. My speech to all my buyer clients is: Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions you make. It can also be the biggest financial return on investment that you reap. These are the reasons I think it is necessary to find the right house to make into a home, especially if you’re a first-time buyer. Buyers must know the importance of location and resale values when they make a list of features they desire for their new home, and that’s where I can help. For sellers, pricing and placement in the current market are crucial in getting you to the next phase of where you want to be, by the time you need to be there, and as an agent with Kline May Realty, I have the expertise and tools to get your home sold. Accommodating clients with evening and weekend appointments has proven to be an asset to my clients as well as for myself. Being a Realtor allows me to maintain a healthy work/life balance. As my daughter became active in dance, cheer and sports, I found it necessary to have flexible hours to accommodate her practice, game and performance schedules. Being her number one fan (and “taxi”) has always been a top priority, and I can proudly say I have never had to miss any of her events. When I am not out showing property or working on listings, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and volunteering in the community. Ask me about the Cinderella Project, one of my favorite causes. Traveling and seeing new places is another passion of mine. I love to spend vacation days with my toes in the sand at the beach. I particularly enjoy visiting Nags Head. Crafting, decorating, and scrapbooking are a few of my other hobbies, and currently, I am attempting to improve my cooking skills. They say you are never too old to learn something new! If you think would like to work with me on your next real estate transaction, please contact me today.
