In building our log home, in Virginia, we wanted to decorate with primitives. Living on a tight budget, I started to make my own decor. After a few months of moving into our home, my sweet brother passed away. In his memory, I made windows for everyone with pictures of him or his service to celebrate his memory. I was so inspired that I started crafting more often. Before my brother's passing, I b
ought him a bracelet that said "Cherish Every Moment". Since that time and his loss, I have found those words to live by and felt what better way to remember him than to name something I loved doing after him. What started out as a way to inexpensively decorate my home, became a family business. My husband, Jeremie, was the creative force behind the wood working and amazing furniture creations. Our two sons, Nicholas (9 years old at the time) and Noah (6 years old at the time), worked together making their own inspirational wood burned signs and other items. Our objective was to create home decor that everyone could afford and to inspire others to take the time to "Cherish Every Moment". As the years passed, our business went from setting up at craft shows to a brick and mortar storefront in Churchville, Va to two different storefront locations in Downtown Staunton. Over the years, we've enjoyed creating so many custom pieces for people's homes and businesses and being inspired by others. We loved decorating and staging for ourselves and others. We did our best to remember our motto and to give back. We were so honored to be a part of the Staunton Police Ball for two years, to be able to donate to Make-A-Wish and help others in need, and most of all to create "Cherish Every Christmas" where we were able to see the "joy" in three very deserving families faces as a community came together as one. As for many of you 2020 has been a year of changes. In April of 2020, we decided to close our storefront and move in a new direction. (Not only with the business but in life). We purchased a house in LaGrange Georgia that checked off everything I had on a crazy list I wanted. We have spent the last several months through Covid renovating our log cabin to sell and our Georgia Home to move into. Both are now complete and we have just moved to Georgia as November 2020. Our future plan for Cherish Every Moment is to get back to our creative roots of working together more on the home staging, decorating, and renovating side, opposed to a retail storefront. After our recent work on our Virginia home and Georgia home, we once again feel the inspiration we felt many years ago. Regardless of which way our new path may lead, we will still do our best to "Cherish Every Moment". Thank you to everyone who has always been so supportive and inspiring to us and our ventures. Sincerely,
Stephanie L.
