New tax valuations just came out for Routt County and they are high! They seem to be expecting appeals with their new online form. We sold a $2.5 Million dollar home this week with a $4 Million valuation (way off!).

The time to appeal is now!

Let me know if you need help finding your valuation. Remember the appraisal date they use is June 30, 2024.

Steamboat's newest local development just hit the market. The Glen!

130 single-family homes and 30 townhomes will be built out over the next few years just behind West End.

The end result will be similar to the Sunlight neighborhood. Modern single-family homes starting at 1.4M.

This is a great missing price point in our market (only one other home exists at this price point on the market today).

I'm excited for some locals with equity in their homes to be able to move up into a single-family home life.

Have you seen the new 180-room hotel going up across from City Market?

Central Park Hotel
Construction officially kicked off in June for The Central Park Hotel near City Market, a much-needed lodging solution for easy access to both downtown and the mountain. The 4-story, 180-room hotel will be run by Marriot, and will join the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas and the Residence Inn Steamboat Springs as local Marriott-flagged properties. Roger Gregory, chief executive officer at Serac Capital Partners the developer behind the project, says the hotel will be “Steamboat-centric” with a mountain lodge motif that will incorporate local art. The development will feature a resort-style pool, a bar and lounge area as well as a full-service restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. With a lack of lodging in this area, it will fill a need for locals and visitors to be able celebrate happy hour all day—and night—long.

What's developing in Steamboat Springs?

Creeks' End on Highway 40. 41-Units are expected to be completed this winter.

When it comes to local employers stepping up to meet the housing needs of its employees, UCHealth and Yampa Valley Medical Center have set the bar with a 42-unit, $30 million housing development to provide reliable housing for its workforce, located at the end of Walton Creek, just over a mile from the hospital. According to a hospital spokesperson, the housing units would be available to employees through a “weighted lottery,” which would provide for staff in certain critical roles and departments to qualify for an additional name entry into the drawing. The development has 2 – 3-story buildings, with 6 – 1 bedroom units, 24 – 2 bedroom units, and 12 – 3 bedroom units. The complex is expected to be finished by Jan 1st, 2025, and is just what the doctor ordered.
