With many paying $1,500 to $2,000 per month to rent a house, essentially paying someone else’s mortgage for them, what do you believe is the single most reason why these people are not purchasing their own home?

Is it:

A. Mortgage rates are too high or they are waiting on a lower rate?
B. Housing prices have been inflated so much that they can no longer afford to buy? Or,
C. The stigma of purchasing your own home is no longer attractive with this generation of potential homebuyers?

April showed slightly improved market conditions for sellers. Sellers received an average of 2.5 offers, and 21% received more than the asking price of the home. Days on market remained higher than last year at 32 days, but dropped considerably since last month.
