Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the brave men and women who answered the call to serve.

As someone who has spent much of my life in public service, days like today carry a special weight. We remember the courage of the first responders, the selflessness of everyday Americans, and the strength of a nation that came together during one of its darkest moments.

May we never forget the sacrifice.
May we never take our freedom for granted.
And may we always honor those who serve.
