Today’s business strategy: get a chauffeur.

I have got appointments all over the place today, so I called in reinforcements and have someone doing the driving while I turn the passenger seat into my mobile office.

Emails answered. Calls made. Contracts handled. Appointments happening. And for once, I am not trying to do all of that while also figuring out where I am going.

Real estate doesn’t exactly come with regular office hours, so sometimes you just have to get creative with the time you have.

10/10 recommend the chauffeur life. I could get used to this.

Just another day in real estate…

Yesterday’s showing came with a few extra responsibilities that definitely were not in the job description: chasing chickens AND cats.

Some days Realtor life means contracts, negotiations, and closing tables. Other days it means making sure nobody’s chicken escapes while you are trying to show a house.

And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. You truly never know what a showing is going to bring!

Realtor. Negotiator. Professional door opener. Occasional farm animal wrangler. Apparently I do it all.

Well… we tried to have a team meeting yesterday.

But when someone brings a puppy, productivity takes a pretty immediate hit. And I am not even sorry about it.

Safe to say this sweet girl completely stole the show, and got passed around the room like she was officially part of the team.

Real estate was discussed. Work got done. But THIS was definitely the highlight of the meeting.

Anyone else completely incapable of getting anything accomplished when there is a puppy in the room?!

Sometimes you just need a day with your people.

Saturday was exactly that. An incredible family day at OSU, lots of laughs, time together, and a POKES WIN to make it even better!

Life has felt BUSY lately: work, school, activities, schedules, and everything in between, so having a day where we could just be together was much needed.

No big agenda. Just family, football, and soaking up a really good day together. Those are the days I never want to take for granted.

And winning certainly doesn’t hurt.

GO POKES!!

Closing day is not where my job ends.

Did you know many new construction homes come with a one-year builder warranty? One thing I recommend to my buyers is having a home inspector come back out before that first year is up for another look at the home.

Why? Because you have actually lived in the house for almost a year. You have run the heat and AC, used the plumbing, opened and closed the doors, and had time to notice the little things. An inspection before the warranty expires can help identify items you may want to bring to the builder’s attention while they may still be covered.

And here is one of my favorite parts: I keep track of those dates for my clients. When that one-year mark starts getting close, I reach back out and help get the inspection arranged.

It also gives me a chance to catch up with past clients, see how they are doing, and hear about all the memories they have already made in their home. That is one of the best rewards of this job.

I do not want to just help you buy a house and disappear after closing. I want to be your Realtor long after you get the keys.

A beautiful morning to slow down and spend some time with God.

I have been continuing my study on forgiveness, and the more time I spend in it, the more I realize how deep this topic really goes.

Receiving forgiveness is one thing. Extending it can be another.

Forgiveness does not always mean forgetting what happened or pretending it didn’t hurt. Sometimes it is choosing, again and again, not to let the hurt have the final say in your heart.

I am thankful for quiet mornings like this, the chance to open my Bible, keep learning, and let God work on the parts of my heart that still need a little work. And trust me… there are plenty.

Still learning. Still growing. And very thankful for His grace through all of it.

Some closings start with a referral… and end with a new adventure!

These sweet clients took a chance on me after being referred my way, and I am so thankful they did! There is something really special about someone trusting your name enough to pass it along, and then having new clients trust you to help with such a big chapter of their lives.

We officially made it to the closing table, and now they are off to their next adventure! I am so excited for what is ahead for them and grateful I got to be a small part of their story.

A big thank you to Apex Title, Hannah Howell, and Lanae Demuth for helping us get everything across the finish line!

And to everyone who has ever shared my name with a friend, family member, or coworker, thank you. Your referrals mean more to my business than you probably realize.

If you know me, you know sunflowers are my FAVORITE.

My sweet friend has been growing and selling flowers as a little side business, and LOOK at these!! I could not resist bringing some of these gorgeous sunflowers home with me.

There is just something extra special about having fresh flowers in the house, especially when you know they came from someone local who put their own time and love into growing them.

Thank you, Root and Run, for adding a little sunshine and beauty to our home! And if you are a fresh flower person like me, go show this small business some love!

Now the real question… what is your favorite flower? Mine is obviously pretty easy to guess.

House showings, Cowboy football, sunshine, good friends… and apparently FROGS.

It was a busy weekend, but we managed to squeeze in a little bit of everything! After house showings, there was no better way to cheer on the Cowboys than some fun in the sun and a night spent relaxing with good friends.

I am especially thankful for the kind of friends who meet us right where we are, in the middle of busy schedules, kids, work, and all the chaos, and still make time to have fun together. Those nights are good for the soul!

And then there is Sawyer… who clearly believes no weekend is complete without finding a frog. I am not sure when this obsession started, but we are FULLY committed at this point.

Good friends. Happy kids. A little downtime. Cowboy football. I will take it.
