Before, the laundry room and kitchen was all one space (with awesome retro carpet, I might add). There was a ton of wasted space with this original design. We added a wall between the kitchen and laundry, with a sliding barn door, and added extra pantry shelving and a work desk in the laundry room, making the most of all that square footage.

Believe it or not, both of these pictures were taken from the exact same spot. We blew out some walls and resupported the structure with posts and beams. We also ripped out the drop down ceiling. Everything was all gutted to the studs and made new.

Making old things new is our passion.

I moved the old rock fireplace and added a giant window for natural light. I built a new shiplap fireplace that goes all the way to the high vaulted ceiling.
