🇺🇸 MILITARY CLOSING DAYS JUST HIT DIFFERENT. 🏡
Closing day for a military family doesn’t always look like a “normal” closing day.
Sometimes the moving company hauling all of your household goods across the country calls and says…
“We’re here to deliver.”
Awesome! Except they’re a day early… and you haven’t officially closed on the house yet. 😂
Then your closing time gets moved around so you can race back to the house because the movers have already unloaded about a THIRD of the truck into the driveway while they wait for you to get there.
Because the alternative?
Tell them to come back later and you might get your belongings tomorrow… or you might be waiting another WEEK. 😬
That’s PCS life.
Military families relocating across the country deal with challenges most people never have to think about. Orders change. Timelines move. Household goods arrive early—or late. Temporary lodging gets expensive. Kids are changing schools. Spouses are changing jobs. You’re learning a completely new community, trying to coordinate inspections, appraisals, lenders, utilities, movers and closing dates… sometimes from hundreds or thousands of miles away.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, you’re still expected to report to your new duty station and keep the mission moving. 🇺🇸
That’s why working with military families means more to me than simply helping someone buy a house. Sometimes you have to adapt, make some phone calls, move some schedules around and figure out how to make everything work when the plan inevitably changes.
Today, we made it work.
