🎓 BOLD Graduates!

BOLD may be officially over, but the momentum continues!

These past several weeks have been filled with learning, masterminding, motivation, accountability, and definitely some stepping outside of our comfort zones. 😊

One thing BOLD reinforced for me is that you’re never too old, and you’ve never been in the business too long, to keep learning and growing. After 15+ years in real estate, there are still new ideas to learn, habits to improve, and ways to challenge myself.

And what made this BOLD experience even more special? I got to take it alongside my granddaughter, Evie, as she begins her own journey into real estate. ❤️ There’s something pretty incredible about being at two very different stages of our careers and learning, growing, and being challenged together.

Graduation is fun, but now comes the important part—taking what we’ve learned beyond BOLD. Continuing the conversations, staying connected, being intentional, serving our clients well, and putting those new habits into action.

BOLD is over…but the learning, growth, and momentum definitely aren’t.

🚲 Real Estate Field Trip Day!

This field trip was extra special because I had my granddaughter—and newest real estate sidekick—along with me! As she begins her real estate career, I want to introduce her to the different communities and areas that make our Northwoods market so special.

Today’s destination: Cable and Telemark!

The Cable area is probably best known as home to the American Birkebeiner, but there is SO much happening around Telemark. Once the Telemark Resort, is now the new HUB building. We hopped on our e-bikes and rode the paved trails, actually pedaled part of the grass Birkie ski trail, and explored the new park area where the old Telemark elevator shafts are now on display.

Then came Field Trip #2! 🏡
We rode our bikes a short distance over to the Wilde River Development, where Duffy Development has two spec homes currently under construction.

What a great way for her to see firsthand why location and lifestyle are such an important part of real estate.

If biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and Northwoods recreation are your thing, these homes put you incredibly close to everything the Telemark/Birkie area has to offer.

Two generations learning the market, two wheels exploring it, and two new homes going up nearby. I'd call that a pretty successful field trip! ❤️🚲🏡

Closing Day!

And another Minnesota buyer has made her way to the Northwoods! 🌲❤️

We sometimes forget—it’s not just people who have to adjust to a move, new surroundings and a new place to call home. Our four-legged family members do too! 🐾 I have a feeling this one is going to settle into Northwoods life just fine.

🌲 Thinking About Buying Vacant Land?

Before falling in love with a piece of property, make sure it will actually work for what you want to do with it!

A few important things to check:

🏠 Zoning – In Sawyer County, you generally can't put up a garage or other accessory building on vacant land without a dwelling. There are some exceptions, so it's important to check first.

💧 Septic & Soils – Is the property suitable for a septic system?

🚗 Access – Is there legal road access, and can you get a driveway permit?

⚡ Utilities – Is electricity nearby, and what will it cost to bring it in?

🌿 Wetlands & Setbacks – These can affect where you can build.

A beautiful piece of land isn't always a buildable piece of land.

Field Trip Days - Family Edition!
One of my favorite things about living and working in the Northwoods is that sometimes the best “field trips” are right in our own backyard.

This weekend we spent some family time on Lac Courte Oreilles Lake (LCO) and Whitefish Lake enjoying the water, the scenery, and simply being together. ❤️

Of course, the Realtor in me can’t visit an area lake without sharing what I know. So along with a few photos from our family days, I thought I’d share some fun facts about these two lakes.

Lac Courte Oreilles Lake:
The largest natural lake in Sawyer County, covering approximately 5000 acres and a depth of 90 feet. There is a navigable channel to Little Lac Courte Oreilles Lake which is just over 200 acres. Big LCO Lake has 3 public boat landings and two restaurants - Anglers Haven and Trails End Resort.

Whitefish Lake:
The deepest lake in Sawyer county with a max depth of 105 feet and covers 800 acres. There is one boat landing and one restaurant - The Beechmoor.

Days like these are a good reminder that there’s so much more to knowing an area than knowing the real estate market. It’s knowing the lakes, the backroads, the little towns and getting out there and enjoying the same things that make people want to call the Northwoods home.

And sometimes, it’s simply about putting work aside and having a really good day with family. ❤️

💫Field Trip Day!💫
What a treat to have this blueberry patch so close to home and work! If you're in the area in July, Cronk's Berry Bucket in Sarona, WI is a fun experience! I've been going here for a few years now. It's a beautiful place and yesterday I literally stood in one spot and picked this whole pail of blueberries from one bush in 20 minutes 🙂🫐
