And just like that… I became who I said I would be as a 10-year-old girl — A REAL ESTATE BROKER.
But more importantly… I became one step closer to who I always wanted to be — LIKE MY DAD. Someone with pride who wanted to help, educate, and care for others. And that is how Brick Road Realty was born!
I passed my state exam Feb 4, Sofia’s birthday- legally allowing me to take over the business we started together🙏
I was an agent for years now, and grew up in real estate (since the 90’s), in the backseat of my single father’s car, stuffing mailers after hours in the Rand office, went to showings, driving around with him and my sister looking for Sale By Owners, and even alphabetizing microfiche property cards. It was always part of me. in fact, even as a young girl in elementary school, if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, it wasn’t a singer or celebrity. It was to be anything like my Father….. I would have to educate other 8&9 year olds about real estate. lol and I had to explain over and over now we were not rich, and if my dad’s name was on a sign in front of a house, it didn’t mean that we owned the house😂😂
My dad eventually built Brick Road Realty from the ground up — not just as a brokerage, but as a place rooted in pride, care, community, and genuinely wanting to help people. I GREW UP WATCHING THAT… AND NOW I GET TO CARRY THAT SAME DRIVE.
