The Federal Reserve is going to be raising the interest rate this week. The expectation is that they are going to raise it by 0.75%. The past raises they have made, haven't made much of an impact on consumer spending. Consumer reports show, that people are still spending money like crazy.

It's still a really good time to buy a home as a buyer, if you're confused on where to start, let's talk about it.

5 Mistakes to avoid when thinking about buying a house.

1. Not getting pre-approved for a mortgage
This step is very important. You need to know how much you can afford before going out in the world and searching for your dream home.
2. Not touring enough homes
Make sure you're looking at plenty of homes so you know what you like, or don't like.
3. Falling in love with the first home they see
This can be an issue if you don't keep your options open
4. Making an offer without knowing all the facts
Does the home come with a warranty? How old is the roof? Will you need to do repairs before you move in?
5. Not being prepared to buy a home
Do you have a plan to maintain the home, and keep it in a livable condition?
