A post was recently shared in the You know you are from Streator when... group by Kerry Bruck of a postcard from the former Town & Country Inn in Streator, Illinois. Seeing that post brought back so many memories and highlights of our family's time owning and operating the Town & Country Inn, and the history of what has brought us to where our family businesses are today. Chismarick Realty, LLC & Town & Country Apartments are part of that lineage and are proud to be owned and operated by the 3rd and 4th generation of that same family. Our family business has evolved from leasing and operating the former Columbia hotel, to buying the original Town & Country Motel, later to demolish it and reconstruct the 104 room Town & Country Inn motel, restaurant, and bar which currently stands there today. During that time of owning & operating the Town & Country Inn, our involvement in the owning and managing of apartment rentals began with the construction of our first 12 unit building, evolving into Town & Country Apartments, which currently today consists of a total of 66 apartments in Streator. After the Town & Country Inn was sold in 2004, Beckie Chismarick (Walkey) (3rd Generation) earned her real estate license and began selling real estate. Fast forward to today, Chismarick Realty is proud to be Streator's only local real estate brokerage and the go-to for all things real estate in Streator and the surrounding area.
