Aria's first round of high dose chemotherapy with stem cell rescue is under her belt. We won't know her progress until after her second round when we see another MRI of her brain to see if her tumor is gone.

She pulled through this like a champion. Every day this baby girl amazes us with her strength and resilience. Once again, we have witnessed miracles in her healing that can only be attributed to the many prayers she receives and the work of The Great Healer. He has put in her path some amazing doctors and the best nursing staff in the world.

She's home now for a short break and will return for round two mid-month. We pray that Our Lord continues to protect her little body and organs from any harm or damage from her chemotherapy and that it is his will to cure her completely from this cancer. Please pray this with us.

We are so grateful for all the love and support everyone has shown this baby girl. Your continued prayers and shares are so appreciated!

Yesterday was Arya's last dose of her second round of chemo, so we are halfway there now. They have started giving her filgrastim, a drug to amp up her stem cell production. On Tuesday she has to have another surgery to install another mainline port to collect her stem cells. On the 17th, she will go back to ICU, be intubated and the collection will begin.

Because she is small and it requires that they draw about half her little body's platelets, its a big deal and can take several hours over 2 or 3 days. Once she gets through that torture, they work on getting her strong again so she can come home for a little while to rest before round 3 begins.

Collection of her stem cells is necessary for later transplant. Her full course of chemotherapy can take a toll on her body and deplete her bone marrow. The stem cell transplant will help her body replenish her blood cells and bone marrow afterwards. Arya just received her last dose of Round 1 of chemo. One down, three to go! Round 2 will begin on or about 11/10.

She's still weak and shaky so they are working on building her strength and coordination in PT. Hopefully, she builds her strength to come home between chemo rounds. She's currently not eating well, although doing a little better, so she's still on the feeding tube.

Since there is only a week between sessions and for the reasons mentioned, her oncologist and dad agree that it would be best that she remain in the hospital until Round 2 begins. Our hope is that she will be stronger and eating better by the end of Round 2 that she can come home for a little break before Round 3 begins.

We are so grateful for all the support everyone has given our precious girl! Seeking more prayers and more shares! We still have a long way to go.
