Be kind to you fellow neighbors this 4th of July
Shooting off fireworks is strongly discouraged due to significant risks of severe personal injury, devastating property fires, dangerous air pollution, and severe trauma to local wildlife and pets. Public safety officials consistently advise leaving fireworks to professionals rather than using them at home.

The primary reasons to avoid setting off consumer fireworks include:High Risk of Injury: Fireworks are responsible for thousands of emergency room visits annually, causing severe burns, loss of fingers, and permanent eye damage. Even seemingly harmless sparklers burn at temperatures up to 2,000°F and are a leading cause of injuries in young children.Catastrophic Fires:

Nationwide, fireworks ignite an estimated 19,500 fires each year, including structural and vehicle blazes. Stray sparks or malfunctioning rockets can quickly ignite dry grass, roofs, or trees.

Community Disturbances: The sudden, loud, and unpredictable explosions are highly distressing for veterans suffering from PTSD, as well as infants and young children trying to sleep.

Stress to Pets and Wildlife: The loud booms cause panic and severe anxiety for domestic animals, leading to higher rates of pets running away and getting lost. It also causes massive disorientation for roosting birds and local wildlife.

Environmental and Air Pollution: Fireworks release heavy metals (such as aluminum, manganese, and cadmium) and hazardous gases into the air, which negatively impact air quality and can irritate the lungs.

Fireworks Reminder

We are all excited to celebrate the USA 250th Anniversary and spend time with family and friends.

We have received a many inquiries regarding the use of fireworks within our development. Members have expressed concerns about the risk of fires, pets becoming frightened, sleeping children, and neighbors who need to get up early for work.

We ask everyone to be considerate of your neighbors and refrain from setting off fireworks within the community. Please remember that fireworks are prohibited within the City of Strongsville.

The HOA is not responsible for enforcing fireworks laws. If you choose to enjoy fireworks, we encourage you to attend one of the many public displays, including the City’s annual fireworks celebration.

If you experience an issue, we encourage neighbors to respectfully discuss the matter with one another whenever possible. If the situation cannot be resolved and there is a concern about illegal or unsafe activity, please contact the Strongsville Police Department using the appropriate non-emergency number. We hope this will not be necessary, as our local law enforcement officers have many responsibilities during the holiday.

Bathroom
Vandalism at the Clubhouse again this week

It has come to our attention that the clubhouse restrooms were not left in an
acceptable condition sometime between Tuesday and Thursday of this week and
last week. We are asking all residents to help ensure that these facilities are
used responsibly and kept clean, safe, and orderly for everyone.

Please note that the Association currently does not have staff dedicated to cleaning
the clubhouse and pool area on a daily basis. These areas are cleaned only a
few times each week in an effort to help keep HOA expenses and fees as low as
possible. If these issues continue, we will be charged at fee of $60 per
incident.

Incidents involving improper use of the restrooms create additional challenges for
maintaining these shared facilities and cannot continue. We respectfully ask
that you speak with all members of your household, including children and
guests, about treating the clubhouse amenities with care and respect.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep our community facilities clean and
enjoyable for all residents.
