Today I had the opportunity to visit the FIFA Museum exhibit, "Legacies of Champions," at Rockefeller Center in New York City, and it was truly an inspiring experience.
Walking through nearly 100 years of World Cup history reminded me how sports have the power to bring people, cultures, and nations together. From learning about the very first FIFA World Cup in 1930 to seeing memorabilia from past tournaments—including the last men's World Cup hosted in the United States in 1994—it was incredible to reflect on how much the game has grown over the decades. With the World Cup returning to North America in 2026, the excitement is definitely building!
One of the highlights was seeing the actual FIFA World Cup Trophy in person before it leaves New York. As someone who loves learning about different cultures and meeting people from all walks of life, it was a reminder that our differences are what make communities stronger.
Whether through sports, neighborhoods, or helping families find a place to call home, it's all about bringing people together and creating lasting memories.
Feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience a little piece of world history today and excited to see the energy and unity that the 2026 World Cup will bring to our region and beyond. ⚽🏆🌎
Have you ever attended a World Cup match or seen the trophy in person?
