🇺🇸MARTIN COUNTY TO HONOR AND REMEMBER THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11 WITH THE 9/11 MEMORIAL BRIDGE WALK🇺🇸

We would like to invite the community as we honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Please join us and your public safety agencies on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Jock Leighton Park located at 3755 SW Mapp Road, Palm City.

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the walk starting at 9:00 a.m.

For event information, please monitor our posts next week as further details on traffic, parking and excused tardies for Martin County School District students, will be posted.

Meet Filbert, a juvenile green sea turtle receiving specialized care at Loggerhead Marinelife Center. 🐢💙

Filbert was rescued in Jensen Beach after becoming entangled in fishing line. He arrived with an injured left front flipper, ingested fishing line and fibropapillomatosis (FP) tumors.

Since arriving, Filbert has received continued treatment from our veterinary team, including antibiotics, wound care, diagnostic imaging and surgery. So far, 27 of his FP tumors have been removed, marking an important step in his recovery.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park is scheduled to conduct a prescribed burn on Wednesday, August 12, weather permitting.

🔥 What residents should know: Smoke may be visible in and around the Village during the burn. Please be aware that this is part of a planned prescribed burn at the park.
