Door County’s snowmobile trails connect every corner of the county, including rural restaurants and downtown districts.
With more than 250 miles of state and club trails, your snowmobile can take you through every kind of landscape, and, with most trails traveling through private land, snowmobiling allows you to access some parts of the peninsula that you can’t experience any other time of year.

Enjoy the beauty of Door County in winter & respect the trails by following the rules for snowmobile riders:
The seven dedicated snowmobile clubs in the area maintain the trails throughout the county, most of which travel through private land. These landowners donate the use of their land to snowmobilers, and it’s up to the riders to follow the rules and keep the extensive trail system open.
Follow these four rules-of-thumb when snowmobiling in Door County:
- Respect private and public property by not riding on closed trails.
- Stay on the trails. Leaving a trail may result in damage to private property.
- Follow all signage and stop at road crossings.
- Do not leave or drop anything along the trail.
