You guys loved our last Door County itinerary so much it’s become one of our most popular posts ever, so here’s round two.
One of our favorite things about this place: it attracts creative, entrepreneurial spirits, and that’s exactly what makes so many of these businesses special. Sharing them is part of why we do this, so when you visit, you get the beauty of Door County AND the people who make it what it is.
1 - Climb the Cana Island Lighthouse, 97 spiral steps to one of the best views on the peninsula.
2 - Drive Jens Jensen’s winding road, take the Washington Island ferry waiting at the end of it, and swim at Schoolhouse Beach — one of only five beaches in the world made entirely of smooth limestone rock.
3 - Bring home a piece of art that captures this place. One of our favorite local artist Brenda Burgett Haven Studio.
4 - See the cherry blossoms while they’re in bloom in spring.
5 - Rent your own private peninsula: The Point on Clark Lake.
6 - Grab craft cocktails on the rooftop at Mezzanine. One of the best water views in the county, especially around sunset.
7 - Walk through the lavender fields at Wilder Farms in Bailey’s Harbor.
8 - Feed the baby animals at The Farm, with kids or not, because bottle-feeding goats, lambs, and piglets is always a hit.
9 - Hike Toft’s Point: 2.3 miles through wildflower meadows, past the remains of cabins built by some of Door County’s earliest settlers with water views.
10 - Get the breakfast burrito at Good Eggs. Bring cash, check their hours, thank us later.
