Erik and I saw just about every home available in his desired area and price point in Suffolk, and even with the growing inventory we’ve seen this summer, the right one simply wasn’t there. He wasn’t interested in settling for something that didn’t check the boxes—and neither was I.

Then we found an option neither of us expected: one remaining homesite in a community that hadn’t initially been on our radar. Turns out, sometimes the right house isn’t on the market yet. It’s still waiting to be built.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed helping this repeat client, and I’m so excited to see his new place come together over the next few months. By the end of the year, he’ll be HOME—and I couldn’t be happier for him as this next chapter takes shape. 🤍

Back from one last summer excursion before the boys head back to school Wednesday! ✈️ We flew to Indiana to celebrate Eric’s cousin’s wedding and squeezed in the Indiana State Fair (think Peanut Fest on steroids, with a HUGE emphasis on 4-H😉) and a trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway + Museum.

We lost entirely too much money on fair games, ate our share of deep-fried everything, watched some serious 4-H competition and got our fill of tractors and race cars. 🐷🚜🏎️

Suffolk will always be home and our roots run deep here, but I have to say — I fell a little bit in love with Indy. Midwesterners are every bit as friendly as Southerners, and anyone who loves farming AND racing is pretty easy for us to like. ❤️
