I lost $7,500 selling a car today.

Long story but it’s worth the read to give a local business owner some love… especially if you need a good mechanic on the southside.

I bought a car a little while ago, it’s been nothing but trouble. Like, a real expensive PITA.

I sold it today at a loss of SEVERAL thousand freaking dollars.. but why share this L?

Because the guys over here at Dave’s Tire and Auto have always put me first.

They could have pushed me into just doing more repairs so they could get paid and wait for me to be towed to the shop on the next go around.

Instead, they told me to sit tight so they could run the diagnostics and lay it all out infront of me.

THEN they called to fight for me AGAIN with the extended warranty company. (The last time they did this, they saved me about $10,000).

After the dust settled, the owner, Dave and the technician, Matt, gave me their honest opinions on what I should do.

So, today I found an awesome family on Facebook that could use the car, and had the know how to fix the damn thing.

Dave let me meet the guy in his parking lot, and helped me get the buyer a whole history of what the shop has done on the car since I’ve had it.

And he was genuinely happy to be able to help.

Freaking love this guy.

Transparent, kind, and reliable.
I’m a customer for life.

I hope this post brings some business to Dave’s shop. Good local people running good local business deserve to do well.
