Why I chose real estate? No real estate chose me!

During the beginning of the pandemic, we were all sent home to work from home. I had been working in Oil and Gas since I graduated the Mighty PVAMU (Who produces productive people by the way!) Anywho, I was burned out and had been praying for God to show me what career He had for me and not just a job! One Wednesday, I was talking to my ace and I said, "I am just going to step out on faith, and renew my real estate license." I proceeded to print all the applications, pay the fees, and mailed it off that day. The struggle was real when I had to retake both National and State test, and failed the first 2 times. But God.... on that 3RD time, I walked out with tears of joy!

So now, I am working 3 jobs all during COVID. Keep in mind, the kids are also at home working virtually, and the hubs walking around looking at the paint dry. I was getting very overwhelmed, stressed out easily, and my real estate business it the ground running! I prayed again that He have His way because I didnt want to stroke out before my 33RD birthday. 3 days later, (you seeing the pattern yet), my Oil and Gas job was bought out and the office was laid off. Thank God! Some weight off my shoulders... My second job, insurance adjusting, had me working 7 days a week, 10 hour days. 🙃 I was wearing low as well and burning from both ends of the stick! But God, my assignment was over in January and by February 1st, I began my full time real estate journey! BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE, besides marrying my boo Greg!

I say all of this to say, no matter how old or young you may be, or how lost you may feel, pray and keep pushing! We think everything is supposed to happen in OUR time, but sit back and watch God work!
