US Housing Prices Keep Climbing
Even as the pandemic buying frenzy eased, we’ve continued to see home prices hold steady across the country. Many hopeful buyers were looking for more affordable options, but a limited supply of homes—paired with steady demand—has kept prices resilient. In my experience working with clients here at Weichert, Realtors - The Murray Group, I’ve noticed how quickly inventory can affect negotiating power. Where new construction has increased and demand has softened, buyers are finding more flexibility, with some listings staying on the market longer. Nationwide, sales have even risen despite higher mortgage rates, thanks to job and income growth. While rising incomes are helping to offset price increases, today’s higher mortgage rates remain a key challenge for buyers in the short term. Navigating these shifts takes careful strategy and a clear understanding of both national and local trends—something I’m passionate about bringing to every client’s journey.
