Responsibilities include: performing water quality tests, as well as preventive maintenance and repairs on water filters, pumps, chemical delivery systems, piping, and other duties related to aquatic equipment.
Driving company owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this function. Completes preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoots and resolves issues with mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of fountain support equipment, such as pumps, motors, controllers, lighting and piping. Complete maintenance tasks common to water features and their support equipment, such as unclogging drains, lubricating bearings, replacing filters, changing lamps, cleaning basins, etc. Uses appropriate personal protective equipment to work with hazardous chemicals common to architectural fountain. Cleans mechanical vaults and fountain basins. Organizes spare parts, equipment and material to insure proper storage requirements are met and efficient retrieval of items. Maintains inventory for repairs and maintenance. Maintains records of water quality inspections and prepares reports on repairs and services according to company requirements. Reads and interprets drawings and technical manuals. Works from written and oral instructions.
Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Must be insurable to drive commercial vehicles.
Experience in journey level maintenance and repair of mechanical systems such as pumps, fans, compressors, and pneumatic equipment, is preferred. Ability to write reports summarizing work activities. Demonstrated stable work history.
Working conditions Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished). Will work in all weather conditions. Will work in extreme temperatures. Will work around chemical fumes. Will work around chemicals. Will work around electrical and mechanical hazards. Exposure to work conditions in mechanical/electrical rooms, chemical hazards related to fountain water treatment, noise and dust. Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs.
