Today was time well spent.

The Greater Houston housing market delivered a strong signal heading into summer as newly signed purchase contracts climbed to its highest level in four years, reflecting growing demand across the region.



According to the Houston Association of Realtors’ May 2026 Housing Market Update, pending sales of single-family homes climbed 5.8% year over year to 9,172, marking the strongest level of contract activity since May 2022.



The rise in pending sales comes despite a modest decline in closings, indicating that many buyers are still moving forward with purchase plans.

Had a wonderful time at Empty Bowls 2026! ❤️🥣

Empty Bowls is such a meaningful event—bringing the community together to support the fight against food insecurity, one bowl at a time. Always love seeing Sugar Land show up for a great cause.

One of my favorite surprises was Berryhill, which had an amazing vegetarian soup 100% plant-based and absolutely delicious. I was really impressed!

Of course, I had already enjoyed a great meal at Indian Summer before the event, and then the after-party at the Sugar Land Heritage Museum.

😂 Let’s just say it was a 3-pound kind of day!
