This home has a beautiful way of balancing drama with ease.

Inside, the dining room is wrapped in deep blue millwork, creating a rich backdrop for a crisp stone fireplace, warm wood table, collected artwork, and a sculptural ceiling fixture. It feels elegant without becoming too formal, with the kind of warmth that makes a room feel ready for real gatherings rather than special occasions alone.

The outdoor spaces continue that same sense of character in a more relaxed way. At the far end of the pool, a stone loggia is framed by timber beams and circular arches that open toward the trees beyond. A fireplace anchors the seating area, turning the space into an outdoor room designed for lingering conversations and quiet evenings.

From the steel-framed windows to the layered stonework, every detail feels considered. The result is a home that feels tailored, personal, and deeply livable.

This home is a beautiful example of what thoughtful renovation can accomplish.

The outdoor spaces feel like a private garden retreat, with a reflective pool, carefully layered landscaping, and a timber pergola supported by pale stone columns. A rugged stone fireplace anchors the seating area, creating a place that feels just as inviting for a quiet evening as it does for entertaining.

Inside, each room brings its own sense of character. The dining room feels polished but warm, with tall windows, oversized lanterns, herringbone wood floors, and a carved stone fireplace. The kitchen takes a more relaxed approach, pairing natural wood cabinetry and exposed beams with open shelving and a generous island made for everyday gathering.

One of the most charming spaces may be the attic bedroom addition. Beneath its vaulted white ceiling, the room feels bright, calm, and wonderfully tucked away.

This is the kind of home that feels substantial without ever feeling showy. Every detail supports the way the spaces are meant to be lived in.

Tile may be one of the most exciting finishes to select for a custom home, but the details matter just as much as the overall look.

The right tile needs to suit the space, the way the room will be used, and the level of maintenance the homeowner is comfortable taking on. Scale and layout also matter. A beautiful tile can lose its impact if the proportions feel off, the cuts are awkward, or the transition between materials was not carefully planned.

Even smaller choices, such as grout color, grout thickness, shower niche dimensions, and the amount of extra material ordered, can make a noticeable difference once the installation is complete.

The best results come from thinking through those decisions early and working closely with an experienced builder and interior designer.

This condo feels modern in the best possible way: clean and tailored, but still warm, personal, and easy to live in.

The kitchen sets the tone with pale cabinetry, a sleek waterfall island, geometric brass pendants, and rich wood accents. Just beyond it, the living area softens the space with jewel-toned pillows, sculptural patterned chairs, layered textures, and art that gives the room its personality.

That same attention to detail continues into the primary suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light and views across the city, while the bath and dressing room create a private retreat that feels both elegant and practical.

It is a beautiful example of what a thoughtful condo build-out can become when every room is designed around the way its owners actually live.

Transitional Mediterranean | Day 5 of 5

We’re wrapping up this series with the spaces made for downtime, movie nights, and easy family living.

The media room has the kind of moody, tucked-away feeling that makes it perfect for settling in. Deep gray walls, patterned carpet, soft wall sconces, a curved ceiling detail, and a large projection screen create a true theater experience without feeling overdone.

Just beyond it, the upstairs landing opens into a bright architectural moment. Tall black-framed windows bring in the view of the lawn and exterior arches, while black railings, gray flooring, white walls, and circular ceiling details add a clean, modern contrast to the home’s Mediterranean influence.

It is a fitting close to the series because it shows the full personality of the home. Grand on arrival, elegant in the main rooms, and completely livable where it counts.

Transitional Mediterranean | Day 4 of 5

Day 4 is all about one of those custom details that makes a home feel especially personal.

This fun zone is hidden behind a concealed entry that blends into the surrounding trim and wall paneling. When closed, it keeps the main living space clean and uninterrupted. When opened, it reveals a relaxed room beyond, complete with dark floors, gray cabinetry, a sink area, and room for the kind of everyday entertaining that actually gets used.

The stairhall nearby adds a more modern architectural note, with tall walls of glass, black metal railings, dark wood stair treads, gray flooring, and circular ceiling details that bring movement overhead. It is bright, open, and a little unexpected, which makes the concealed fun zone feel even more thoughtful.

These are the details that make a custom home work beautifully for the people who live there.

Transitional Mediterranean | Day 3 of 5

These rooms show how much beauty can come from softness, light, and thoughtful detail.

The breakfast area feels bright and graceful, with arched glass doors opening toward the outdoor kitchen, polished stone floors reflecting the natural light, and a round table centered beneath a gold chandelier. The circular ceiling detail above adds a beautiful architectural moment, while the patterned chairs and orchids keep the room feeling personal and welcoming.

The living room carries that same calm elegance into a more relaxed setting. A white stacked-stone fireplace anchors the room, framed by crystal sconces, soft neutral walls, mirrored shelving, and arched openings that give the space a sense of rhythm. The patterned tray ceiling adds another layer of detail without making the room feel heavy.

Together, these spaces feel refined, comfortable, and designed for the way people actually live.

Transitional Mediterranean | Day 2 of 5

This kitchen has that rare mix of polish and warmth.

Cream cabinetry, carved millwork, marble countertops, and a beautifully detailed coffered ceiling give the room a refined Mediterranean feel, while the oversized island and nearby breakfast table make the space feel welcoming and practical for everyday living.

The details are what make it memorable. Crystal chandeliers bring a soft shimmer overhead, the arched range alcove adds architectural character, and the glass-front cabinetry gives the room a collected, custom feel. It is elegant, but not untouchable. Beautiful, but still built for people to gather, cook, sit, talk, and stay awhile.

Transitional Mediterranean | Day 1 of 5

This home knows how to make an entrance.

From the open iron gates to the palm-lined motor court, every detail of this Transitional Mediterranean residence builds toward a true sense of arrival. The patterned brick drive, central fountain, cream stucco exterior, red clay roof tiles, arched windows, carved columns, and oversized lanterns all work together to create a front elevation that feels elegant, warm, and beautifully composed.

What makes it especially inviting is the balance. The architecture has presence and scale, but the landscaping, fountain, and soft exterior palette keep the home from feeling too formal. It feels gracious, personal, and ready to welcome people in.

This condo build-out is all about personality, polish, and the kind of details that make a space feel deeply personal.

The main living area opens with city views, soft neutral seating, a grand piano, sculptural lighting, and artwork that immediately gives the home its own rhythm. The kitchen feels clean and modern, but not cold. Warm wood cabinetry, polished stone, yellow pendant lights, fresh flowers, and a textured art piece bring color and warmth into the room.

One of the most memorable images is the hallway, which feels more like a private gallery than a pass-through. A turquoise console, layered artwork, a patterned wallcovering moment, and a long pale runner create a beautiful transition between spaces. The rooftop terrace completes the story with bright blue seating, glass walls, and open city views.

It is refined, but still expressive. Modern, but still full of life.
