🚨 Traffic Alert: Train Derailment 🚨

11:01 A.M. UPDATE | Crews are on site and actively working to remove the derailed train cars and reopen impacted crossings except for Collins Road, which will remain closed. We appreciate your patience as work progresses.

7:33 A.M. | A train derailment has occurred in Richmond. While there have been some reports indicating it is in Rosenberg, the incident is not within Rosenberg city limits.

At this time, the only impact in Rosenberg is at Rawson Road, where the crossing arms are currently down. We are working to get those open as soon as possible.

Please avoid the area if possible and expect delays. We will share updates as more information becomes available.

A major traffic switch on Interstate 69 near the Brazos River is scheduled for this weekend, weather permitting, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Northbound drivers on I-69 will exit at the Brazos River U-turn exit (Exit 105) and follow the northbound frontage road, then re-enter the main lanes at the on-ramp just south of University Boulevard.

Southbound drivers will exit at the Brazos River U-turn exit (Exit 106) and follow the southbound frontage road, then re-enter the main lanes at the on-ramp just north of State Highway 99.

TxDOT did not provide specific start and end times for the traffic switch.
