Autumn at Oz returns to Beech Mountain September 18–20. If you’re heading up, save this quick guide:

🎟️ Buy date-specific tickets in advance—none are sold on-site.
🥾 Plan for about 1.5 miles of walking and roughly two hours inside Oz. Wear secure, comfortable shoes; no flip-flops.
🧥 Dress in layers. The event runs rain or shine and mountain weather can change quickly.
🚡 Scenic lift hours: Friday 11–6, Saturday and Sunday 10–6; last ride down is 5:45.

🌄 Evening: Head back up Sugar Mountain for a peaceful mountain sunset

Current planning note: The National Park Service lists the Linville Falls spur road as open, while the campground and picnic area remain closed. Conditions can change—check the NPS road-status page before leaving.

Waterfall safety always wins: stay on marked trails and overlooks, keep away from slick rocks and never enter swift water.
