Every year, this day gives me all the warm fuzzies — the “happy birthdays🎈 ,” coupled with “i got you some tacos,” and an extra bonus when I get beautiful sunflowers - those all make my heart do a little two-step. 🌮🌻

But this year? Oh honey, this one came with a little extra ✨ sparkle.

Because while I was over here living my best birthday life, we got the clear to close! 🙌🏼

That’s right — tacos in one hand, my favorite closing day pen 🖊️ being warmed up in the other, and a grin big enough to make the neighbors wonder what kind of cake I had. 🎂

So here’s to October 24: the day I was born and the day the clear to close came about.

This was the home that their grandpa built with his own two hands. It was all they had known growing up. A brother and sister duo that I never met was referred to me by a dear friend.
Once their mother passed away, and it was one of the things left of estate that needed to be closed out. It was such an honor and a privilege to be part of this closing.
There were tears and so many expressions of gratitude.
It’s closing like these, the bittersweet ones that really pull all my heart strings. They were happy to get it sold; neither one of them live in the area. But it was also hard for them to say goodbye to something they had known for all their lives.
It did help tremendously to meet the young man who was buying the home. To know they did their part in passing on a sturdy well built, and well loved home to someone who could make it their own & one day have their own family in it.

These are the reasons I do this, and why I love what I do so much. There’s so much beauty in the ending of chapters, and the fresh start of new beginnings.

My sellers house got swept off the market quick, but it’s been a long road to make it to hear those sweet, sweet words 🥹

Such a bittersweet day coming up for my seller who has known that home for 60 years since he was born. But just as he said, some things must come to an end, and to the benefit of the buyer, it’s so new things can begin. Look forward sitting with you at the 🖊️ table Heather Crozier!
