Alright. Touchy subject here and not the post I want to be making. But after a convo with a good friend affected by the flood, and her considering selling, I figured I’d bring it up.
As a Sumas resident, my highest hopes are that something efficient will be done with the river this year, but I know many of you hesitate to wait and find out.
If you are a homeowner considering selling, I will be holding coffee chats at Loca Mocha - Sumas this month, for you. These will be 1:1 meetings so that I can hold space for your situation. The financial effects, emotional considerations, and the logistics of selling in this situation here in the valley isn’t something I take lightly. It’s incredibly frustrating to see what’s happening and what feels like is out of our control. And know what your profits would be with a couple different scenarios.
Also I do have a lender with a loan program we can go over if you have the equity in the home, in order to raise the house instead of moving.
