💕Wow, what an amazing, strong couple that I helped find a home here in Summerville.

📱I did not know them before they called into Realty One Group while I was on floor duty a couple of months ago on a Friday. They were only in town for the weekends so we planned to meet at one of the houses they were interested in. It can be hard to get to know clients when you have no history together. When they pulled up I knew we would get along when Matt hugged me right away.💞

❤️I found out quickly that this couple was strong and fun to be around. They both had lost their spouses a few years ago and found love again with each other. They were moving with their elderly father to be closer to their daughter.

🫣They loved the home we viewed in Four Seasons with the character of the home, safety with a gated community and TONS to do with a full time HOA coordinator. One downfall was that the HOA would not allow a hot tub to be put in the back yard unless they enclosed it. 🤔 Matt loves to relax in his hot tub every evening. There was a hot tub in the amenity center but they worried that it might be busy.

🏡We looked at a few more and they found another with no HOA so they could put in a hot tub in the backyard. It also has space for their large RV. They were close to putting an offer in but after much prayer and consideration they decided to put an offer in on the first home. 😬After back and forth negotiations on the price, shelving that conveys and terms we were under contract.

😳Through all of this Matt and Jill also were in negotiations for a house for their dad so he could be super close to their daughter, heading back to Columbia to get their house ready to sell AND they had to sell their father’s house in Columbia. Whew!! They also had to have a garage sale and get rid of a ton of things since their new home was a bit smaller.

🙏🏻Inspection time can always be stressful but thankfully their new house had been well taken care of and had only a few minor issues that we negotiated for the sellers to address. I researched, drove the community and spoke with experts on the issues that came up.

🥰It was crazy that their daughter had previously used my broker and that is why they called ROG.

🎉Celebrating this power couple and God’s blessing on their new home where they will have room for a HUGE table to host 🦃Thanksgiving and Christmas 🎄

💕It was a pleasure to help my sellers from The Ponds build a home to be closer to family and have a much larger yard with privacy for their 3 pups.
😲They weathered the storms like true champs, as this was the 5th house they had built. I encouraged them to weigh their options with lenders and not just believe that the builder's lender would be the best deal. They found a different lender through their bank that beat the builder's lender.
Unfortunately the builders lender was dishonest about fees and tried to be sneaky about the fees. Thankfully, Rev Credit Unions, April Verrengia did her job above and beyond. She compared every fee and went above and beyond to make sure my buyers got the best deal, even if it wasn't with her. She took the time to go over everything with all of us so that my buyers could make a full transparent and educated choice.
🎁April even showed up on closing day to check in and bring my clients a basket of goodies!
🌳🌲🌴They chose to build in Awendaw, a new and upcoming area close to Mount Pleasant. The drive to their home was always so peaceful, it is hard to believe how close it is to everything.
Here's to countless memories with their granddaughter and sons, the perfect pool💦🥤 installed in their spacious yard, their pups having lots of trees to smell and room to grow with God's blessings overflowing. 💙
