Christmas has officially arrived at the old Whistle Stop House! 🎄✨
The tree is up, the garland is draped, the wreaths are hung, and the lights are glowing—what a truly **magical** sight to see. This place feels more festive than ever.

A huge thank-you to all my amazing helpers Chrissy Vorlage Pfeiffer and Karen Every-Andrews for the motivation, the laughter, and the extra hands that made it all happen. Couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️💡🌟

Here’s to a blessed season overflowing with the joy of Christ’s birth and the hope He brings! 🎁🎶

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄

Earlier this week the Whistle Stop received this beautiful bathroom tub picture with a wonderful message from Heather Northrop Shaw.

A short while back Heather and her husband purchased the grand old cast iron tub belonging to the old train conductors house (AKA...139 W Luke Ave, Whistle Stop House). At that time the old tub had seen much better days and could never imagine it would ever be used as a bathtub ever again.
However, we were completely and wonderfully surprised when Heather recently shared the finished tub renovation pictures with us! We absolutely could not believe it was the same tub!

She also had a picture of the Best Friends of Charleston train in front of Luke Street property inlarged and hung it above the tub, such a great touch!

We definitely couldn’t have imagined that it could have been saved and so wonderfully surprised that it would turn out so unbelievably amazing!

Thank you Heather for sharing it with us, it certainly warms our hearts to see a part of the old Train Conductor’s House restored and given new life!

Spring has sprung in Summerville SC!😍 The azaleas are blooming. The dogwoods refuse to be shown up as they trumpet Easter is here! The ducks and geese are beginning to hatch.😄
It’s time for new beginnings everywhere!

The marquee sign header graphics really came out awesome! Getting ready to sink the posts, add our tenants sub-signs, and open the doors for business.

We decided to name 139 W Luke property as “The Whistle Stop” as a tribute to Julian Beauregard Beattie (B. 1861-D. 1938) who bought this grand old lady in 1910 after moving his family out from Downtown Charleston and was one of the first Train Conductors on the Summerville and Charleston rail lines owned by the South Carolina Railroad Company.
