✨Homestead bill S.768 in South Carolina proposes:
1. At age 65, having five years of residency, you pay property taxes on your property's value minus 75k
2. At age 65, after 10 years of residency, you pay property taxes on your property's value minus 150k

After a round of adopted and rejected amendments in committee and on the Senate floor, the bill received second and third reading, advancing the legislation to the House for consideration.
