Every year, Truehomes does their annual Broker appreciation True Party. It is Truely an experience. Real estate agents have the opportunity to go if they sell at least one home in their communities in the calendar year. I have gone every year for nearly ten years. I've closed new construction in other communities as well.

If you are looking for new construction you need your own agent. The new construction agent on site works for the builder, not you. I have the knowledge, and years of experience to get you the best bang for your buck. I have built relationships with builders that I extend to my clients. A home is the biggest purchase of your lifetime. Go through your process with an agent with knowlege, and that has your best interest at heart.

With 10 years experience as a full time Real Estate Agent, it's important to remain sharp and continue to learn. I had the pleasure of attending The Code of Ethics and Fair Housing classes, taught by SC Attorney and Director of Fair Housing Policy Tiara Pitts at CTAR . She is so knowledgeable and poised.

Kimberly Sheppard, AVP/Community Homeownership Specialist, from First National Bank shared with us some exciting options in lending.

We also had a surprise visit from our president of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors (CTAR), Dr. Stephen Kohn stopped in to chat about fair housing, along with discussing his dissertation that addressed how mental health affects African American first time home buyers. It was truly EXCELLENT!

I would be remiss if I did not share the story of my amazing client closing on her new construction home! I am over overjoyed and so proud of her! Our story actually began just over a year ago. We started our process and then decided to hold off for a bit. We stayed in contact and began looking again when the time was right! We began our search again, and she closed on December 31st. It was beautiful to see how supportive and excited her family was/is for her. Talk about bringing in the new year with abundance. Please give my client a round of applause. I'm so proud of you girl!
