I'm mainly focused in the Sumter/Manning/Santee areas, but am happy to help anywhere in the state. Greetings! I’m Evan Ray, a full time Realtor in Sumter, South Carolina. I’m a native of East Tennessee and have made my permanent home in Sumter. After some encouragement from my amazing parents, I joined the Air Force when I turned 19 and left my small-town mountain home to carve my own path. I have
been very fortunate to live in several different states and countries on three different continents. My military career brought me to Sumter, in 2013 and I have been here ever since. I thought I would be here a couple years, and then head back overseas. But, as most stories go, boy meets girl, and everything changes. I met my beautiful wife here in Sumter and after 8 years of being stationed here, we decided it was time for me to retire and make this our forever home. I fell in love with the people, the cost of living, and the short distance to beaches, cities and entertainment. After 21 years of traveling around the world and serving this great nation, I have learned a lot about who I am and how to interact with folks from every walk of life. Some of the best lessons I learned and/or sharpened in the military are loyalty, respect, compassion and empathy. My military background and small-town upbringing led me to my purpose in life: To help others as much as possible. One of the biggest decisions most people make in their life is to buy a home for their family. It can be scary because of the financial commitment, but education from a trustworthy source can turn that fear into excitement and lead to a better financial future. I would love the opportunity to help guide you through that process, take the worry away from you and help you see a brighter future. I love people, I love helping people, and I care more about my reputation and perception than I do about money. I would love the opportunity to earn your business and make a new friend. If you’re ready to buy or sell, I would love to help. If you just want to bounce some questions and ideas off of a professional with no commitment, I’m always available. If you think you want to take a big step in the future, but you’re just not quite ready at this moment, I can help with that too. It’s never too early to plan ahead. Think about this: The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second-best time is today. I want to help you in any way I can and will stay the course for as long as it takes. Let’s do this!
