SOLD! A long 6 month road with amazing clients. After seeing numerous homes the first couple months, the sale of their home in another city fell through and we had to start all over. We saw over 20 homes in total, but there's no doubt we found the perfect one. With a main level suite for their aging momma to come live with them, and over half an acre for all the grandkids to play, I'd say they hit the jackpot!

Tracking Data:
One of the many responsibilities of our Downtown Florence Main Street Program is to track progress. Our team tracks all kinds of data related to the growth and development of downtown, and the data is used to recruit or attract new businesses, developers, and residents, demonstrate return on investment and community impact both in the private and public sectors, and to reinforce that downtown is performing effectively.

Between 2021 and 2022, Downtown Florence experienced $25.12 million dollars in total reinvestment. Of that $25.12M, $21.4M was private investment and $3.64M was public investment, meaning that for every $1 of public investment, nearly $7 of private investment was generated! Work by our Main Street Program also contributed to the addition of 111 new jobs and 26 new businesses in the historic district. Dedicated program volunteers donated 2,567 hours of their time, representing $72,204 in value. Five new projects are underway and twenty-four building rehabilitations were completed.

Since our program's inception, over $300 million has been invested into our downtown with a ratio of nearly $8 of private investment for every $1 of public investment.

Public investments are improvements such as greenspaces, public plazas and parklets (like our free splash pad!), public art, streetscaping and road improvements, parking enhancement like the two free parking garages downtown, and utility improvements.
