Subject: Apology for Unanswered Calls and Requests at STREETREACH 🏠🛌🚿🍲

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to extend our apologies for any unanswered calls and requests that may have occurred recently. Over the past few days, we have experienced a high volume of incoming calls and requests for assistance.

Despite the challenges, STREETREACH has been able to provide temporary accommodations for many individuals in motels, as well as distribute (3) tents and (5) sleeping bags to those in need. Sadly tents are NOT a home, but does provide some protection.

We were also able to bless (9) individuals with showers & a meal. Thank you for your understanding and continued dedication to our mission of helping those in our community.

We are trying to meet needs as they come in. Thank you for your understanding & your patience.

PRAISE REPORT---
We are so amazed at the love poured out on our unhoused friends this week. It is because of your generosity that 7 new individuals are safely in shelter & receiving meals. We had several needed respite from surgeries & several others are seniors with no family support. We love and greatly appreciate our compassionate community. Garry

Hello Dear Friends....

With tears in our eyes & burdened hearts we are seeking your help once again.

We need everyone to pray 🙏 for a young couple with a small baby seeking housing.

The Mom & Dad just got jobs in Shallotte & are currently in motel...but desperately need housing. Immediate needs are being met.

STREETREACH has been on the computer & phones for days trying to locate anything affordable for this young couple. We are willing to assist with deposits & rent...if we can locate something sustainable.
If anyone has any suggestions 🤔 please text us. Garry

❤️ "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Sometimes ministry doesn’t happen behind a pulpit. Sometimes it happens at a park bench, over a plate of food, through a hug, or on our knees praying with someone who feels like the world has forgotten them.

Our unhoused neighbors are not statistics. They are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. They have names. They have stories. They have wounds we may never see. And beneath everything they have walked through is a person who still deserves to know:

You are seen.
You are loved.
You still matter.
And you are NOT forgotten. ❤️

Jesus didn’t tell us simply to talk about love—He showed us how to live it.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.” — Matthew 25:35

A meal may satisfy hunger for a few hours, but sometimes sitting beside someone, listening to their story, praying with them, and reminding them that God has not abandoned them can awaken something much deeper:
HOPE. 🙏🏽
And hope can be the first light someone sees after spending a long time in darkness.

Because sometimes the greatest sermon someone will ever hear is watching the love of Jesus show up for them. ❤️‍🔥✝️
