Doing a lot of reflection lately. My friend Sergei the Russian Missile sent me a book he wrote detailing his experience into the waterman world which I was a part of. It brought back a lot of memories. The ocean is God’s gift to me. The ocean is unforgiving. The ocean is the definition of adventure. The ocean takes you to locations you do and don’t want to go. The ocean removes any type of pretentiousness. The ocean is inanimate yet is more alive than anything. The ocean isn’t concerned with your fear or your ego. The ocean provides great joy and tremendous sorrow. The ocean represents God: both peace and powerful; renewal and life and ultimately His endless love for us. The ocean is constantly there whether you realize it or not.

Maksym and Jonah have been buddies for years. I cheer for Maksym as hard as I do for Jonah. This weekend Maksym got drafted into the OHL and Jonah competed in a USHL main camp tryout. Not bad for two kids from the hockey hotbed of Wilmington, NC.

Traveling with Jonah to the Sioux Falls Stampede main camp tryouts. They just won the Clark Cup in the USHL a couple of weeks ago. It’s cool to see the trophy up close. High level hockey this weekend.

Next chapter unlocked! Jonah is officially signed with Black Bear National Academy for the 2026-27 season! He will be playing for their 16u AAA team based in Philadelphia. The years of hard work are paying off.

Phinn finished his first season with the and we are super thankful for the opportunity. Phinn and the entire team made great strides all year. Phinn is a completely different player thanks to phenomenal coaching. His plan for next year will be staying with this team and playing Jr Canes 11u AAA.

Bro had himself a solid season. Jonah was the leading scorer for the 15u AAA Canes and ended up 3rd in the league in goals. Thankful for another year with him around. Thanks to the Canes for the opportunity. Looking forward to what’s next for him.

Really sad to hear about the passing of Coach Dan. He was great to my kids when we would attend the MSU summer camp. The MSU community lost a great man and coach.
