After this significant winter storm—bringing approximately 20+ inches of snow—the City Street Crews continue working hard to clear streets and ensure safe travel throughout our community.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as downtown businesses and property owners work to clear sidewalks and entrances. This process takes time, and safety is the top priority.

📞 Please contact businesses before heading out today, as many are closed or operating on a delayed schedule while cleanup continues.

They actually just miss me!

More Dairy Queen locations are allegedly posting notices about a penny shortage, explaining that cash transactions will be rounded to the nearest nickel because they do not have enough pennies to make exact change. These signs usually spell out how rounding works based on the last digit of the total, so customers know what to expect at the register, while card payments typically stay exact. It’s not just Dairy Queen either, since Sheetz has used similar rounding or “exact change preferred” approaches during coin shortages, especially when penny and nickel supplies get tight. The main takeaway is simple: if you’re paying with cash, your total may be adjusted by a few cents, and the store is trying to keep lines moving without constantly running out of coins.
