Visibility matters. Advocacy matters. Being in the room matters. 🏛️🏠

This week, NAREB is bringing the conversation about Black homeownership, generational wealth, and the heirs property crisis directly to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

These are not abstract policy conversations.

They impact whether families can preserve property passed down through generations. They impact access to homeownership. They impact wealth creation, neighborhood stability, and whether property ownership becomes a lasting legacy or a lost opportunity.

That is why NAREB’s presence matters.

From the local level to the national stage, advocacy requires us to show up, bring the data, share the lived experiences of the communities we serve, and engage with the policymakers and industry leaders who can help move solutions forward.

I am proud to participate in NAREB both locally and nationally because our work extends far beyond individual real estate transactions. We have a responsibility to advocate for greater access, stronger pathways to ownership, and policies that help families protect and build wealth through real estate.

These conversations must be had. These rooms must include our voices. And the work must continue long after the conference ends.

This is a small collection of moments with some tremendous women I’ve had the privilege of meeting, working alongside, learning from, admiring, or simply observing from a distance. 💐💛

Some are mentors. 🌟
Some are friends. ❤️
And some are women whose example challenged me without them ever knowing it. 💫

They represent leadership, kindness, compassion, courage, love, excellence, and a genuine heart for what they do. 👑✨

Some are young. 🌱
Some are seasoned. 🌿
Some are still here with us today. 💕
And some have passed on, but their impact and example still remain. 🕊️

⚠️ She called the listing sign. What happened next became an expensive real estate lesson.

A buyer can be intelligent, experienced and financially prepared and STILL enter a transaction without fully understanding who represents whom.
