So thankful for the talented Cameron Reynolds Photography for posting my Greenville kitchen on her Insta account ... some people cannot stand to renovate, I absolutely love it! (of course it helps when you are not living in the mess) When given the freedom to "start over" and make everything new, it is truly a blessing. Visual Comfort pendants & Aidan Gray sconces create quite a mood but the crown & glory is that Heirloom Companies hood 👑 Some good memories in that kitchen 🥰 🙏

Life ... It goes by fast. Steve & I moved from Illinois to South Carolina during the summer of 2017 ... we landed in a rental but eventually found our "forever" home (haha) and renovated (2 moves, yea!) ... I then helped move my parents to Greenville in 2018 when my mom was diagnosed with cancer & my dad dementia (praise the Lord both are doing well!) and I reluctantly took over my dad's company for a couple of years until we finally sold it in Dec of 2020 ... oh and then that shutdown for "15 days to slow the spread" thing happened too.

All of that word salad to explain why I have not posted or promoted my beloved Feathering the Nest design business in the last five years ... I have had a handful of clients who were so patient with me as I was incredibly distracted with "life" ... but here we are ... Aug of 2021 ... and somewhere in there we moved from Greenville SC to Suwanee GA .. WHAT? how did that happen???

I grew up in Roswell GA so it is good to be "home" ... new Georgia friends, I hope you will consider allowing me to assist you with your home ... no matter where you are from or how you landed here, I know how you feel ... been there / done that!

My passion is taking your existing furnishings, art & accessories and helping you turn your most used space into your favorite place ... specially with today's supply chain issues and some furniture taking 6 months or more for delivery, allow me to help you prioritize what rooms should be tackled first and put realistic expectations in place ... need something quick? Ahhhhh que the birds chirping as the sun is rising ... yup ... we are all moved in .. this is our 4th morning waking up in our new home. I’m just keeping it real here on Fakebook. Sure I could take super styled photos in the 2 areas of my home that are “done” ... but welcome to the reality of remodeling 🤦‍♀️ yes, first world problems for sure ... and just like labor pains, allll the dust and delayed contractors will be a distant memory once this baby is born. There are people who would give their right arm for these “problems” ... yes, cry me a river 😉 I have a grateful heart ... and I’m counting down the days until my appliances are installed (and function), island countertop arrives, backsplash tiled, vent hood is built 🤨 I could go on & on but you get the idea 🤪 thank you for the InstaPot Sena!

It’s official - Feathering the Nest has hit the ground running in our new hometown of Greenville SC 🎉 It’s so great being “home” in the south again. This Georgia peach couldn’t be happier y’all!

My husband and I relocated from Kenilworth IL this past Summer ... getting our boys settled and searching for a home has kept us quite busy ... finally found & purchased our home in Sept ... now FTN has had “fun” nesting & renovating. If you’ve renovated a home ... “fun” is a stretch 😉

We started this project in Oct ... gutted all of the bathrooms, kitchen & basement ... converted the den into a bedroom with bath & closet ... considering we’ve been through three holidays - Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years - progress is slowly but surly coming along ... move in date less than 3 weeks away!

Happy Demo Day! It's finally here ... renovations begin in our home ... kitchen, master bath/closets, and den converted into bedroom/bath/closet 🎉 want to keep the subs happy? Give them snacks 👍😎🍟

This past weekend I had the opportunity to help decorate for a Hoedown ... that's right - a Hoedown with square dancing and a mechanical bull! What is more American than that? What a blessing to live in this amazing country we call home. I am so thankful for the opportunity to help my clients .. no matter if I'm using crystal lamps or hay bales to decorate - thank you for allowing me to help you Feather your homes ... or Hoedowns!

It would be remiss of me if I failed to let people know that I only post photo's IF my clients are comfortable with that. Often homeowners are not too excited about sharing their most personal space for the world to see ... and that is ok! Of course I appreciate those that allow me to share ... as well as those who would like to remain private. I have the utmost respect for every single person who gives me the opportunity & privilege to help with Feathering the Nest :)

Precious family with 3 young girls ... turning their dining room into a playroom - brilliant! But unorganized toys and mismatch furniture right when you enter the house ... que the wha wha whaaaaaa.... a new arrangement and reorganization of art found throughout the house ... now this room says "come on in & play!"
