This October hits a little closer to home because this year, breast cancer became part of my own story. I recently faced this diagnosis myself, and I’m so grateful to be able to say that I am now cancer-free. 💗
Breast cancer is so much more than a statistic or a pink ribbon. It’s the fear, the uncertainty, the appointments, the prayers, and the strength it takes to get through some of life’s hardest days. It affects not only the person diagnosed, but also the family and friends who stand beside them every step of the way.
Going through this experience has reminded me just how precious life is and how important it is to take care of ourselves and the people we love.
This month, I encourage you to do your self-checks, schedule your screenings, and remind the women in your life to do the same. Never take your health for granted, and never underestimate how much your love and support can mean to someone facing a difficult season.
