Yesterday marked 5 years in real estate for me. Things have changed so much over the last 5 years and I completely understand why most agents dont make it past year two in this business.

To be honest, most days you won't find me smiling like this when doing my job. There are countless little dumpster fires that need to be put out daily in order to provide the best buying/selling experience for my clients. There have been tens of thousands of dollars in commissions cut in order to make a deal happen that my clients usually never know about. Thousands of dollars in repairs that I have paid for in order to get to the closing table. I've driven over 125,000 miles in 5 years for work- thats a lot of time in the car!

With all that said, there's so many good things that outweighs the bad. I've helped buy or sell 175 properties in the last 5 years. The relationships I've formed with my clients have been the best! I've gotten to work with a college football coach (who's son played in the NFL!), a former White House appointee (who is the sweetest soul you will ever meet), sold the home of a former Phillies baseball player, and helped countless veterans buy and sell homes here. I've met some of the BEST agents- ethical, Kind, communicative, and overall just great people. Some of the contractors I've met over the last 5 years are some of my favorite people in ENC.

The last 5 years has also allowed Tyler and I to begin our real eatate investing adventures. We have purchased 11 properties and sold 4 of them (hopefully 2 more will be sold soon!). We have even started talking about buying a tiny house in the mountains, but I've still got some convincing to do on that one 🤪

All in all, it's been a pretty rewarding 5 years and I cant wait to see what the next 5 years looks like.
