The Clinton Hills Conservation Park (previously the Clinton Hill Golf Course) is only 5 minutes from our community and a perfect place for biking, walking, pickleball, fishing and disc golf to name a few activities. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a golf course becomes a public park, Clinton Hills Conservation Park in Swansea showcases how outdoor spaces like these can be transformed.
The former greens and fairways now hold walking trails, fishing lakes, native plantings, and broad open spaces that make it easy to spend an afternoon outside. The gentle slopes from its past life create a unique setting with sweeping views.
The Village of Swansea manages this property, and we are proud to partner with them to achieve our goal of increasing community access to natural outdoor spaces through the Exploration Garden, which has transformed a former golf hole into a 6-acre haven. We are glad to highlight how creative restoration can shape new outdoor experiences and increase the quality of life for people and wildlife alike.
