Why is a home inspection important for new construction? đĄ đ¨
Human Error: Builders are on tight deadlines and use many subcontractors. Mistakes like unconnected ducts, poor insulation, or miswired outlets are common even in brand-new homes.
Municipal Inspectors arenât enough: City or county inspectors only check that a home meets minimum building codes and focus heavily on structural milestones, not the fine details or operational functionality.
A recent home inspection for my clientsâ new home construction revealed the following:
~split and cracked floor joists
~improperly installed steel beam support
~damaged and missing shingles
~electrical outlets with no power
~gaps sewer ejector pit seal đ¤˘
~leaking pipe đ§
~possible mold in basement đˇ
