Burbank Police Searching for Missing Man, 62, Suffering from Dementia

BURBANK (CNS) — Police continue to search for a 62-year-old man who suffers from dementia and diabetes after he wandered away from his retirement home in Burbank, a sergeant said.

Armando Alaniz was last seen leaving Le Bleu Chateau, 1911 Grismer Ave., Oct. 20, Burbank Police Sgt. Derek Green said.
Alaniz needs medication but has a habit of wandering away from his assisted-living facility and is known to search for recyclables, Green said.

He is Hispanic, 5-feet-5, about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray sweat pants, Green said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call the Burbank police at (818) 238-3000 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
