I’m Sonia Nangia, and I’ve been a mortgage lender since 2005.

My journey into this industry? Honestly… it started by fluke
I began as a processor in 2005, but quickly realized I wanted more. I stepped into sales, discovered I loved working with borrowers and breaking down numbers—and never looked back. By 2007, I became a loan originator… right before the housing crash.
I’ve seen the highs, the lows, and everything in between—and that experience is what I bring to my clients today.
When licensing became mandatory under the SAFE Act, I was the 4,816th person in the country to get licensed—which is why my NMLS is only four digits long (and yes, people are always surprised!).
Today, I’m licensed in 16 states, with offices in New York and Houston, TX.

It’s not just about quoting rates—it’s about education. When working with first-time homebuyers, I make sure they feel comfortable and confident in their decisions, while keeping them informed every step of the way. I believe in clear communication and full transparency so my clients always understand their options.
