A beautiful Sunday spent supporting an incredible Central New York tradition!

PIONEER COMPANIES and Ventas were proud to join friends, colleagues and community partners at Crouse Health Foundation’s Polo for Preemies, an incredible afternoon supporting the premature and critically ill newborns cared for at Crouse Health’s Baker Regional NICU.

The polo match may bring everyone together, but Crouse’s “Little Fighters” are the real stars of the day.

Thank you to Crouse Health Foundation, the Skaneateles Polo Club, and everyone who made this meaningful event such a success. We were honored to be part of it!

It only took a short amount of time for our Pioneer Companies team to fill up a few garbage bags right around our headquarters in an effort to do our part for Earth Day this past Wednesday and Arbor Day today. Even small efforts make an impact on the shared spaces we all rely on.

The CenterState CEO Annual Meeting at The Oncenter was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community rallies around a shared purpose.

From start to finish, the energy in the room reflected a region on the rise. Hearing from Micron Technology’s EVP of Global Operations, Manish Bhatia, brought that momentum into sharp focus that is grounded in real investment, real timelines, and real impact for Central New York. With a vision extending through 2045, the scale is transformational: 10,000+ jobs and a ripple effect of housing, community spaces, and long-term regional growth.

But what stood out most was the collective pride in celebrating the Businesses of the Year. From nonprofits to minority-owned businesses, these organizations have made a lasting mark and continue to shape the character, resilience, and future of our community every day.

Events like this don’t just showcase progress. They strengthen it. Grateful to be in the room and excited for what’s ahead.

Throughout 2025, PIONEER has welcomed 12 new team members, celebrated 3 well-earned promotions, and honored 2 retirements. We've worked hard and we've played hard, embarking on new project development, construction, & management, we've built relationships with new clients and companies, and we've toasted alongside lasting, irreplaceable partners.

New is the theme for the year ahead as we are equally appreciative of what has been accomplished in 2025. What new terrains can we traverse, what new ways of forward-thinking, imagining, and creating can we discover, and what can we do to be newly different as an even stronger and supportive community member to our fellow neighbors to achieve best possible outcomes for all?

Progress continues for Canandaigua National Bank at Washington Station in Downtown Syracuse!

The latest behind-the-scenes progress includes a centralized statement fireplace, elegant quartz countertops and accents, and photo imagery showcasing some of Downtown's signature landmarks.

CNB has been making a tremendous impact all across Central New York this year with several branches opening in neighborhoods such as Cicero and Liverpool, and where better to make their soon-to-be Downtown Syracuse debut then at Washington Station, PIONEER COMPANIES' headquarters, in Armory Square. We look forward to the official opening coming soon in 2026!
