This week we are working hard to clean the dirt and dust out of the house. The brick fireplace was imploded before the move leaving three inches of dirt everywhere. Each room that gets cleaned will be furnished then closed off from the rest of the house. Our interior Contractor has been MIA which isn’t unusual on construction projects during summer months. Our fireplace installer had to reschedule for next week due to unavailable parts. I’m not liking the look of the wood floor so we have decided to replace. The new floors will flow evenly in all the rooms without threshold. The house will look semi modern with the exception of the powder room. We want that room to be original to the house.

This photo was taken at the beginning of our journey. We moved this house 60 miles from Seattle to Anderson Island on January 27 2017. The house will be used as a vacation rental called “Once Upon A Tide” when complete.
