The Sunshine Protection Act could end biannual clock changes, but furnaces would need to work harder on the resulting dark, cold winter mornings, which could offset any energy savings.

The "season" has started.. Not as fast as previous years

Pending home sales rose 1.4% month over month and 3.2% year over year in April, according to the National Association of Realtors, as buyers cautiously returned to the spring market.

For-sale inventory improved 4.6% from a year ago, and new listings climbed 1.1% annually while asking prices fell year over year for the sixth consecutive month. Mortgage rates ended April around 6.3%, roughly half a percentage point below a year ago, preserving some buying power.
